The Angels Theatre Company began in 1992. The original idea
was to invite artists from a variety of disciplines to collaborate
on process based projects. This invitation of collaboration
continues to be the "stuff" that keeps the company
moving forward. Over the years, performance pieces have been
created to reflect the membership. When a company member has
an idea, the word goes out and the creative process begins.
Early on, the company was site specific, with "Zeal,
Grace and Transformation" in a church and "About
Your Friends" in a women's club. Today, the Angels
Company is part of a larger artist consortium with a loft performance
space in downtown Lincoln. Transition, friendship, spirituality,
displacement, time and responsibility are topics that have grown
into productions. The Angels Theatre Company strives to explore
personal and global issues through performance.
