| Wallace Shawn's "THE FEVER" |
 Our project was developed as a means of awakening Nebraska’s consciousness to the part each of us play in
the affairs of our communities, nation and world. The performance is meant to evoke civic dialogue and engage individuals
to take action.
Project director and performer Jessica Watson says, "I had been searching
for some way to challenge apathy… especially during this election year.
I realized that I had become the apathetic public myself.
I was so frustrated with talking about the issues, I needed
to do something. "THE
FEVER"
is what I can do. I believe everyone needs a voice. I invite
others to look at their beliefs, their truths, their reality
and ask, 'why?' I ask Nebraskans
to start a conversation, listen and perhaps even act on their
beliefs. Wallace Shawn asks audiences to grow."
